Senior School Curriculum

Years 9 and 10

Kiettisack International School is proud to offer the Cambridge qualifications of IGCSE at years 9 and 10 and AS and A levels at years 11 and 12.

Cambridge IGCSE is the world’s most popular international qualification for 14 to 16 year olds. It is recognised by leading universities and employers worldwide, and is an international passport to progression and success. Developed over 25 years ago, it is tried, tested and trusted by schools worldwide.

Students at years 9 and 10 study the following subjects: English, Mathematics, Science, (Biology, Physics and Chemistry), Geography, Business Studies, Information Processing and Management, Art, PE, Music and Dance. Students are also required to choose one of the following languages – Chinese, Japanese or French.

Students can sit for the IGCSE examinations, which are set and marked externally by Cambridge CIE. These exams can be taken in any year, but are usually taken at the completion of year 10.

Years 11 and 12

After completing Year 10, KIS students move into the AS and A level streams in years 11 and 12. Thousands of learners worldwide gain places at leading universities every year with Cambridge International AS and A Levels.  The syllabuses develop a deep understanding of subjects and independent thinking skills.

Students are required to take English plus three additional subjects chosen from a combination of the following: Mathematics, Business Studies, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, or Geography.  Subjects are blocked according to student preferences.
